Worthington itself can boast some of the best recreational and cultural sites in the region, like the McConnell Arts Center is a contemporary facility that presents and promote performing, visual and digital arts. This building boasts a 213 seat theatre with an exhibition gallery, four classrooms, a digital imaging studio, a dance studio and rotating exhibitions throughout the facility.

If you're an art lover, you'll inevitably fall head over heels with this arts center. It offers exhibits, classes, a series of performances and cultural opportunities. There are also free events housed in this historic cultural facility. The Doll Museum provides an exceptional permanent collection of nineteenth-century dolls and toys. Among them are German chinas, French fashions, Parian bisques, Milliners’ models and French bébés. There are some American dolls which include the work of maker Ludwig Greiner, Izannah Walker, and Joel Ellis. Also housed in the elegant Greek Revival headquarters of the Worthington Historical Society are the library archive, gift shop, and appointed parlor.

Located in the Old Rectory, The Worthington Historical Society is a structure that was initially built in 1845. The building is now home to WHS administrative offices, the Shop, and the Doll Museum. The Old Rectory is formed in the classic Greek revival style with a later addition on the north side. The salon has been elegantly restored to the Empire Period with an excellent needlepoint rug on view.
